Anyone going to give this movie a chance? It looks like it could be Rear Window all over again, probably not as good but might be fun. The PG-13 rating scares me a little.

My brother saw this movie and apparently it's true because he looked it up. Through about three quarters of the movie the camera angle was too high and you could see all the back drops, boom mikes, etc. This wasn't true for showings of the film in all theatres though.

Disturbia? Definitely a 5 out of 10.

The movie is a cookie cutter PG-13 'thriller' about a boy who is under house arrest 'for decking a teacher' and spends the duration of his arrest watching neighbors.

He sees one neighbor bring home a date almost every night, and never sees the date leave. Of course the killer catches the kid watching him and the threats begin.

You can read the plot of this movie and can guess what happens, and you'll most likely be correct.

The film features good stars who don't give the best performances. Carrie Ann Moss from the 'Matrix' movies tries her best with what she has to work with, and manages to pull of the 'single mom' role.

Shia LeBouf (can now be seen in Transformers) has a pretty good performance. But his asian friend is just annoying and could have been written out of the movie without missing a step in the plot.

All in all, Disturbia may have been better by taking a risk and being an 'R' rated film, but it played it safe and failed to impress.

5 out of 10

I suggest you rent Rear Window, the movie that obviously inspired this mediocre path down Predictable Lane
